Farmer's Market was so much FUN!

WELL, JUST A LITTLE UPDATE ON HOW THE MARKET WENT. WE GOT UP AT 3:30 IN THE MORNING. I WAS SO EXCITED, BUT THE GIRLS WERE NOT. SMILE! WE LEFT THE HOUSE AT 5 AND GOT TO WICHITA AT 6. RIGHT ON TIME1 JUST WHEN WE WERE SUPPOSE TO BE THERE. THEY PUT US DOWN FROM THE ENTRANCE OF THE MARKET. YES!!!!!!!!!! BEAUTIFUL SUNSHINE OUTSIDE AND HARDLY ANY WIND. THANK YOU JESUS! WE SET UP IN 30 MINUTES. THAT WAS REALLY NICE. HERE IS A PICTURE OF MY PHIL AND THE BOOTH. WE LEARNED ALOT AT THE FIRST MARKET AND WILL DO BETTER AT THE NEXT.

WE SOLD OUR FAMOUS LEMON VERBENA BREAD. WE OPENED AT 7 AND IT WAS ALLLLL GONE BY 9:30. I WILL MAKE LOTS MORE THIS WEEK. EVERYONE GOT A TASTE AND WOULD EITHER BUY THEN OR COME BACK. IT WAS TO WONDERFUL. I USE REAL BUTTER AND LEMON JUICE.

HERE ARE OUR STRAWBERRY SCONES AND BLUEBERRY SCONES. WE MADE THEM WITH FRESH BERRIES. THEY ARE TOTALLY WONDERFUL. REAL FLUFFY.
I HAVE LOTS OF RHUBARB SO IT WAS A MUST TO HAVE LITTLE STRAWBERRY/RHUBARD FARM PIES. THEY TASTE SO SWEET AND TART.

GREEN BEANS WERE OUT THE DOOR IN A HALF AN HOUR. I DIDN'T HAVE THAT MANY, BUT THIS WEEK I WILL HAVE LOTS MORE. SEE THE FONT WITH THE POLKA DOTS. LOVE IT!!! IT MADE THE BAGS LOOK CUTE. I AM INTO CUTE AND FARM GIRL LOOK.
THESE ARE CALLED PATTY PANS. THEY ARE TOTALLY ADORABLE AND A MUST FOR THE TABLE. I HAVE NEVER GROWN THEM BEFORE, BUT WANTED THEM. I BROUGHT ALONG RECIPES FOR PEOPLE TO TAKE. IT WAS REALLY FUN TO HEAR ALL THE COMMENTS ABOUT HOW CUTE THEY WERE.

THE PEOPLE WERE WONDERFUL AND SO KIND. WE NOW KNOW SOME LADIES AND CAN'T WAIT TO SEE THEM AGAIN. MOMMAS, DAUGHTERS AND CHILDREN IN STOLLERS CAME TO OUR BOOTH. WE LOVED IT. I MISS MY MOMMA SO MUCH. I CAN ENJOY WATCHING OTHERS THOUGH.

OUR BAGS LOOKED SO CUTE ON THE PICKET FENCE PHIL MADE FOR ME. WE WILL BE PUTTING THEM UP IN THE STORE THIS WEEK. WE WILL LET YOU SEE THE STORE REAL SOON.
I DESIGNED THESE CLIP BOARDS LAST YEAR AND HAD TO MAKE A BUNCH FOR FARMER'S MARKET. THEY WILL ALSO BE IN THE STORE.

WELL THAT IS IT FOR NOW. THANK YOU FOR COMING BY OUR BLOG AND SEEING WHAT IS HAPPENING AT PRAIRIE FLOWER FARM. WE WERE SO GRATEFUL TO THE LORD FOR ALL HE DID IN GIVING THE STRENGTH WE NEEDED TO GET READY FOR MARKET. I WAS SO TIRED ON MONDAY. I FELL ASLEEP TWO DIFFERENT TIMES DURING THE DAY SITTING IN THE FARM TRUCK. I WENT TO BED EARLY AND GOT UP AT 9 ON TUESDAY. I AM SUCH A GO GETTER ALLLLLL THE TIME, WAS REALLY WIPED OUT. ON TO ANOTHER WEEK. I AM SEWING UP A STORM AND WILL COOK ON THURS. AND FRIDAY FOR ANOTHER MARKET. THE BEANS ARE FILLING THE BUSHES. YEA!!!!!!!!!
PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT AS TO WHAT IS GOING ON IN YOUR LIFE!
BLESSINGS TO YOU!

  1. Wow! I can't imagine doing a show every week. Your booth is so cute. I don't know how you do it all. I love to bake too. Nearly as much as sewing :) Anyway, I'm so excited about your new fabric line. I will buy it up if our WalMart carries it! (it is pretty small) Take care and rest up. We have 8 people signed up for our new group now! Only four to go.

  5. Love the cute bags on the cute picket fence. Lovely products. Everything looks delightful. My daughter's French class participated in our Farmer's market here twice as a fund raiser for a trip. We were really excited each time, getting up in the pitch dark, filling the suburban; but we only had a 10 minute drive. I feel blessed to be living that close to the farmer's market. God bless your efforts and your day!
